Binance has unveiled a four-week reward campaign that pays users in XRP for doing nothing more than holding Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin in their accounts. The exchange announced on October 21 that it will divide a 600,000 XRP prize pool among eligible RLUSD holders, sending out the tokens in weekly waves that start on October 30.

Binance opens the campaign on October 23, 2026 at 00:00 UTC and closes it four weeks later on November 20 at the same hour. A balance of just 0.01 RLUSD is enough to enter, and it can sit in a spot, funding, margin, or flexible-savings Earn wallet. For each day, the qualifying figure is the smallest RLUSD balance captured in that day's hourly readings, counted after subtracting liabilities. Participants do not need to own any XRP: Binance figures each user's share from qualifying RLUSD balances and sends the XRP to the main account's spot wallet once a week, with every payout due before 18:00 UTC on Fridays.

Four distributions are scheduled: October 30, November 6, November 13, and November 20. The October 30 payout covers the October 23–30 holding period.

Why it matters

This is a deposit war, not a price event. At XRP's recent $1.34 level, the 600,000-coin pool is worth roughly $804,000 — a rounding error against XRP's $84.6 billion market cap and $2.46 billion in daily volume. It will not move the XRP price on its own, and the chart agrees: XRP touched $1.40 overnight on October 21–22 before fading back to $1.34, and the rise started hours before Binance published its post.

The real signal is about RLUSD. Ripple's dollar-pegged stablecoin is fighting for attention in a market still dominated by USDT and USDC, and Binance is now the second major exchange within days to run a dedicated RLUSD incentive program. Binance is effectively renting RLUSD balances for a month with XRP it already holds — a cheap customer-acquisition loop that also deepens the trading venues for the pair. For Binance it is classic playbook: use the house token where demand is thin to build liquidity where the exchange wants it.

What to watch

  • October 30: the first airdrop lands, and with it the first published effective APR for the reward period — that rate decides whether holding RLUSD on Binance beats parking dollars elsewhere.
  • The weekly multiplier ladder: growing your RLUSD balance versus the prior two weeks adds 1.2x on the extra amount, parking RLUSD in Simple Earn flexible savings adds 1.1x, and meeting both conditions stacks to 1.3x.
  • Whether rival exchanges answer with their own RLUSD programs, and whether RLUSD issuance or on-chain supply visibly responds to the campaign.
  • Pool exhaustion: Binance says payouts stop once the 600,000 XRP pool is gone, with no per-person cap — heavy whales could drain it early.

MarketRadar take

Treat this as a yield play, not a price catalyst. Binance's own worked example puts the economics in plain sight: at a 20% yearly rate, 10,000 RLUSD earns about $38.35 worth of XRP per week — roughly 0.38% weekly, decent against idle dollars but entirely hostage to the weekly effective APR that Binance sets per distribution.

MarketRadar math: weekly = balance × APR × 7/365. Binance sets the actual effective APR each Friday; these figures show the scale, not a forecast.

The exclusion list matters more than the headline number. Cutting out the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Canada, Germany and France removes several of the deepest stablecoin markets from the eligible base, which concentrates the pool among the remaining regions — good news for eligible holders, who split less-diluted rewards. Direction: neutral for XRP (the $804,000 pool is 0.001% of circulating supply), constructive for RLUSD adoption. The last four weeks have shown XRP's derivative positioning on Binance and Bybit already skewing cautious, so expect any XRP bid around this story to stay tactical and short-lived.
