Binance said on October 14 it will delist Epic Chain (EPIC) and QuickSwap (QUICK) from spot markets on October 28 at 03:00 UTC, closing another round of its periodic listing reviews. The decision hit both tokens immediately: QUICK dropped 19.67% over 24 hours to about $0.008169, while EPIC fell 10.54% to roughly $0.4001, according to CoinGecko figures cited across the reporting.

The unwind is phased and touches almost every Binance product. Buy & Sell Crypto drops both tokens today, October 15, with margin borrowing suspended the same morning. Derivatives come first for liquidation risk: new futures positions are blocked from 08:30 UTC on October 20, and remaining contracts are auto-settled at 09:00 UTC that day. Spot Copy Trading follows on October 21, and margin services remove the tokens on October 20 at 10:00 UTC. Only then does spot trading itself close on October 28 — after which deposits stop being credited on October 29, though withdrawals stay open until December 28. Leftover balances may be converted into stablecoins after December 29, but Binance stressed that conversion is not guaranteed.

Both tokens had months of warning. QUICK carried the tag since April 30, EPIC since May 22 — and the market still repriced both by double digits within a day.

The exchange reviews listings against trading volume, liquidity, development activity, team commitment, network security, and regulatory compliance. This is the same pipeline that produced the August delistings, when six tokens were cut — PIVX and Vulcan Forged PYR among them — and a separate August review flagged five more assets — ICON, Moonbeam, Moonriver among them — for closer scrutiny. Nothing in the October 14 notice singled out a specific violation, which means holders of other tagged tokens are reading this announcement as a preview of their own.

Why it matters

For traders, a Binance delisting is effectively a liquidity death sentence. Binance remains the world's largest spot venue, and losing it collapses depth — QUICK's entire 24-hour volume sits near $1.47 million with a market cap of only about $5.37 million, while EPIC's is around $13.48 million on $10 million of volume. Those are thin books even before the exchange's order flow disappears. The pattern also matters beyond these two names: five more tagged assets from August are still sitting in the review queue, and this October decision confirms that a monitoring tag is a credible warning, not decoration. Binance's own exchange page tracks the exchange's rolling review activity, and this move lands days after its announcement to shut down Binance Pool on November 10 — the company is clearly streamlining lower-margin business lines.

What to watch

  • Today is the first deadline: Buy & Sell Crypto ends support at 03:00 UTC, and margin borrowing is suspended at 06:00.
  • October 20 is the derivatives day: new futures blocked from 08:30 UTC, auto-settlement at 09:00, and Pool, Pay, and margin all drop the tokens.
  • A day later, Spot Copy Trading removes the pairs at 03:00 UTC and Simple Earn auto-redeems positions.
  • Then comes October 28, the main event: all spot pairs close at 03:00 UTC, orders are cancelled, and trading bots halt.
  • After that, October 29 ends deposit credit and December 28 ends withdrawals — watch for any word on the optional December 29 stablecoin conversion.
  • And beyond the calendar: will the five assets tagged in August face a similar decision before year-end?

The market's verdict on the two tokens diverges, and that split is instructive. QUICK — a Polygon DEX governance token with a $5.37 million cap and only $1.47 million of daily volume — absorbed a near-20% hit, the classic pattern for a low-liquidity asset losing its main venue. EPIC, with roughly $10 million in daily volume against a $13.48 million cap, saw a smaller but still double-digit fall. The real read is structural: Binance's review cycle is running hotter this year, and the monitoring-tag-to-delisting pipeline now has a clean track record — tagged in spring, reviewed by summer, gone by autumn. Holders of any other tagged token should treat the tag as a deadline, not a decoration. Bearish for both tokens while the staged wind-down squeezes liquidity out day by day.
